Over the past week, we’ve been receiving a number of questions from parishes & schools on how to best use their website for communicating announcements.
Recommendation #1 (Parishes & Schools) – Single update page
Create a SINGLE page that contains all updates and is kept up-to-date with any changes. This is much better than having multiple pages that may contain incorrect information.
If you need help creating this page and adding to your navigation menu, email us at [email protected] and we’ll help you get set up.
Recommendation #2 (Schools) – Distance learning page
Many schools are preparing ‘distance learning’ options for their students. Like #1 above, create a page that details this information.
Recommendation #3 (Parishes & Schools) – Notifying those affected
Practically all of the websites we build include some area on the home page for adding news & announcements. If you want something more prominent at the top of your pages, we now offer notification bars.
Another option is to use email tools like FlockNote, MailChimp or Constant Contact. If you use our FlockNote referral link (click here) to sign up, you’ll get a $30 credit on your account.
If you have a Facebook page or group, be sure to post an update there as well.
Please be assured of our continued prayers for your church and school as we navigate this difficult period together.
Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, have mercy on us.
Immaculate Heart of Mary, pray for us.
Saint Pio, pray for us.
